A 48-year-old woman was
allegedly killed by some unidentified men in a bank colony at Chandmari locality here, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday afternoon when Manju was alone in her house and some unidentified assailants attacked her with iron rods, they said.
They accused men fled from the scene after locking her inside the bathroom, police said.
The matter came to light when the victim's daughter returned from school and informed her neighbours, who took Manju to the hospital, following which she died during treatment, they said.
The case is being probed, police said, adding that the motive behind the incident has not been ascertained yet.
