Woman killed in leopard attack in Doda

A 48-year-old woman died after being attacked by a leopard in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir here, police said today.

Seema Devi had come out of her house and was attacked by a leopard in Bhagwah belt of Bhaderwah tehsil in Doda district last night, Police officials said.

As she shouted for help, villagers and family members rushed to the spot to rescue her, they said adding that she was badly injured in attack and was shifted to hospital, where she died this morning.

The body has been handed over to the family triggering anti-government protests by the people of the Bhagwah village over increasing leopard attacks in past one month.
 

They shouted anti-administration and anti-government slogans and demanded measures to save the people from such attacks.
