A 60-year old woman was today killed in a road accident near the busy Hatibagan intersection in northern part of the city this morning.
Police said that woman was walking down the road when a private bus heading towards Ultadanga knocked her down.
She was immediately rushed to nearby R G Kar Hospital where she was declared brought dead.
The driver of the bus fled soon after the accident, police said.
