A woman allegedly committed suicide today by jumping off the 10th floor of an under-construction building along with her five-year-old son in Sola area here, police said.
Ramilaben Rabari (28) walked up to the 10th floor of the building with her son Akshay this morning and the duo jumped off the building, a Sola police official said.
"According to her kin, Ramilaben was mentally unstable and was not keeping well. On several occasions she would go out along with her son without telling her family members," the official added.
She jumped off the building, which is being constructed for the economically weaker section of society under the 'CM Awas Yojana', he said, adding their bodies were sent for postmortem.
A case was registered and a probe is underway, the official added.
