Woman lodges a rape complaint

A woman from Assam today lodged a complaint with the Kolkata Police alleging that she was raped by a person in the city.

The woman lodged a complaint at the Lake Police Station alleging that a man, a resident of Salt Lake had raped her a number of times and had also forced her to abort twice, a senior officer of Kolkata Police said.

As per her complaint the woman in her early 30s alleged that the man, who befriended her on a social network met her at a restaurant sometime early last year where they consumed alcohol, he said.
 

She fell unconscious and the accused took her to a guest house and raped her.

The victim also accused that the man was threatening her to release a video he had filmed of the rape.
