Woman, minor children set on fire

A 30-year-old woman and her two minor sons sustained burn injuries after they were doused with kerosene and set ablaze in their home by three youths in Shimlana village, police said today.

Police have arrested one person, Pramod, in this regard while the other two accused, Veerpal and Sanjeev, are still at large.

Quoting a complaint filed by the victim's husband, police said the incident occurred last night when the three youths poured kerosene on the woman and her sons, aged two and five, through the window of the house and set them ablaze.

Police said the victims are being treated at the district hospital.
