The Madras High Court has issued notice to the External Affairs Ministry on a woman's plea seeking a direction to authorities to trace her husband, who has been reported missing in Malaysia since October 12, 2012.
Justice B Rajendran before whom the petition filed by Theivanai came up for hearing, ordered notice, returnable by two weeks, to the External Affairs Ministry.
The petitioner contended that her husband Nallathambi used to frequently visit Malaysia to meet his friend Syed Mohamed, who was running a hotel business there, stay there for some time and return to India.
