Woman murdered, house looted

A 53-year-old woman was allegedly murdered and cash and jewellery were looted from her Spring Field Colony residence here today, police said.

Unidentified persons gained entry in Sheetal's residence, tied and locked her inside the bathroom, they said.

The robbers decamped with cash and valuables, according to police.

Sheetal domestic help, who came in the afternoon hours, spotted her in the bathroom. Neighbours rushed Sheetal to a hospital, where she was declared dead, police said.
