A woman was allegedly raped by a man from her village Keelarmau here, police said today.
According to the complaint, the accused Ramakant forcibly entered victim's house when she was alone on the night of March 2 and raped her, they said.
The accused also beat up the victim.
The woman approached police but they refused to lodge an FIR in the matter.
She then complained to Additional SP Visarajan Singh Yadav and an FIR was lodged in the matter.
