A 55-year-old woman's body was recovered from a canal in Shamali district here, police said today.
The woman was found floating in Yamuna canal in Yadpur village under Thana Bhawan police station in the district yesterday, when the locals informed the authorities, they added.
The identity of the woman and the cause of her death is yet to be ascertain, police said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and the investigation is underway.
