The body of a married woman, who had been missing for more than a month, was found from Bhakra Canal, following which a case has been registered against her husband.
The victim has been identified as Kuldeep Kaur.
On the basis of the statement given by Kuldeep's mother Surinder Kaur, a resident of Dmoli village in Patiala, a case was today registered against the husband of the victim, Sohan Singh, police said.

According to the victim's mother, her daughter got married to Sohan of Jakhwali village in 2006, but he used to harass her.
She has alleged that her son-in-law forced her daughter to commit suicide, they said.
The woman had gone missing on September 7.
