The body of an unidentified woman, in her 20s, was found near Shanti Van area in central Delhi this morning, police said.
The police were informed that a woman, with head injuries, was lying unconscious. She was rushed to a hospital where she was declared brought dead, they added.
The woman is yet to be identified. It is suspected that she was hit with a stone on her head and effort was also made to distort her face, the police said.
It is suspected that the woman was a vagabond and lived nearby. Police are questioning other vagabonds in the area to get some clue about the killer and also to establish the identity of the woman. It has been suspected that she was killed at night and her body was dumped there.
