Woman sets husband afire

Unable to bear torture by her husband, a woman allegedly set him ablaze at Raghunathganj in Murshidabad district, police said today.

Jakir Sheikh was sleeping on Sunday night when his wife Tara Bibi pour kerosene on him and set him ablaze, they said.

He has been admitted to hospital in a serious condition.

Tara, who alleged that her husband used to torture her severely, has been arrested.
