Woman strangled to death by husband

A 24-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death by her husband following a quarrel here, police said today.

The accused, Rohit Makwan (29), murdered his wife Ashwini last evening at their residence in Sansari naka area in Devlali camp, police inspector Rajesh Akhade said.

The accused was arrested and a case under section 302 (murder) of Indian Penal Code was registered, he said, adding investigations were underway.
