A 40-year-old woman teacher allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling at her residence in Medical area of the district, police said today.
According to the police, the deceased Suneeta Verma was a teacher in a junior high school here and was married with two children. Suneeta's husband Neeraj Verma found her hanging from the ceiling of one of the rooms in their house this morning and immediately informed the police.
The deceased's brother has accused Neeraj for her death, police said. Morover, Neeraj has accused Suneeta's brother and sister-in-law of physically assaulting her, which led her to take this step, they added.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and investigations are on to ascertain the reason behind the incident.
