A woman and two children were today found dead on railway tracks in Begusarai district of Bihar.
Begusarai Government Rail Police (GRP) officers said the incident happened in the afternoon around 2.5 km from Lakho railway station in the district and the woman and children were yet to be identified.
GRP Station House Officer (SHO) A N Dubey said the place where the unidentified bodies were found was connected with a narrow path which juts out from National Highway-31 passing close by.
"Prima facie it seems the three were run over by some train. We are trying to find out under what circumstances they were there and trying to ascertain whether there is some foul play involved in it," Dubey said.
The SHO said the bodies have been sent for post mortem.
