Women march to CM home demanding prohibition on liquor

The women under the banner of Naukar Dai Mahasangh gheraoed the state legislature premises shouting slogans seeking prohibition on liquor.

They tried to march towards the Chief Minister's residence but were prevented by the policemen by using water cannon against them in view of the area being a high security zone, the sources said.

The women criticised the state government for issuing licence for liquor sale for revenue.
