Karnataka BJP President B S Yeddyurappa's much hyped "Breaking News" that had created ripples in political circles and curiosity among the public, ended in a whimper today.
The former Chief Minister's tweet yesterday about
"Breaking News" today at 5 PM had generated much curiosity and expectations in political and media circles, with many, who thought it would be a "major expose", glued to their internet or television sets.
The "Breaking News" in the form of a twitter andFacebook post,which came after an almost 45 minute delay,failed to make any impact as it was just a short video clip with Yeddyurappa repeating his charges against the Siddaramaiah government.
Reacting to the 'Breaking News', Chief Minister Siddaramaiah dismissed it as a 'rambling collection of lies.'
The post, with 5.14 minutes video containing Yeddyurappa'smessage and info-graphics, said "Congress govt led by @siddaramaiah has betrayed the people of #Karnataka & has been a No.1 failure in living up to their expectations!"
"#10PercentCM has cheated the people of Karnataka & has put abrake on the growth & development story of the state! #LiesDamnedLiesAndStatistics."
In his video message Yeddyurappa accused the Siddaramaiah government of completely damaging the state's economy and pushing it into debt, leading to a complete halt of developmental activities.
Alleging that the government has not kept up the promises made to the people, he said it has 'neglected' key sectors like health and education.

"This government has betrayed thepeople and it needs to be changed," he said.
In the video that also has statistics representedthrough info-graphics, Yeddyurappa expressed confidence that"the people have decided to bring BJP to power."
Claiming that BJP has both the grace of God and the people, he said "Achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government at the Centre, administration by Karnataka BJP in the past and Congress government's failures will help us inthe elections."
"People are with us....I assure people that wewill honestly work in solving their problems," Yeddyurappa said.
Comments flooded the social media, with many taking a dig at Yeddyurappa's "Breaking News" by terming it as a "flop show", "comedy" and "waste of time".
"Shri Yadiyurappa (Yediyurappa) @BSYBJP has himself described his so called Breaking News video well: #LiesDamnedLiesAndStatistics. Need I say more on his rambling collection of lies. Next time learn to cry wolf better. #BJP420," Siddaramaiah said.
"It is now known it is Bjp hacked Sri Moily's tweet! Yeddiyoorappa (Yediyurappa) who threatened a breaking news ran away beingthe suspect!" KPCC Chairman Media Department Prof Radhakrishnatweeted.
Radhakrishna was referring to the controversy over senior Congress leader M Veerappa Moily's tweet,suggesting that money plays a role in his party deciding who gets the ticket for the coming assembly polls in Karnataka, though he denied posting it, saying "I have not done it".
