Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today hoped the young generation inspired by the ideals of the great guru Archarya Tulsiji would work for lasting peace, tolerance and unity and amity among all sections of the society.
"Archarya Tulsiji was a great guru and distinguished religious leader who spread the message of love, peace, harmony and brotherhood feelings and worked to achieve social peace, security and an enlightened society," Gogoi said at a function for the birth centenary year celebrations of Acharya Tulsi in Delhi.
A Chief Minister's office (CMO) release here said Gogoi hoped that the youth would be inspired to carry forward the great guru's relentless work for peace, harmony, unity and amity among all sections of society by transcending the barriers of caste, creed and religion.
Gogoi said, "Archarya Tulsi strove relentlessly to propagate socio-religious harmony and social justice so that every living being respects the sanctity and dignity of others just like we expect to respect our own sanctity and dignity", the release added.
