Youth arrested for raping teenager

An 18-year-old was arrested for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district, police said today.

The girl had come out of her house to attend nature's call last night when her neighbour, Rahul, allegedly raped her, said Ratnakar Singh, Ubhaon police station in-charge.

The girl has been admitted to the district hospital and a case has been registered based on the complaint of the girl's mother, Singh added.
