Youth arrested for robbery, snatching

A youth who was allegedly involved in several cases of robbery and snatching has been arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police.

The accused has been identified as Aftab (22), a resident of Anand Parbat area.

With his arrest, police also claimed to have solved a robbery case of three-four days back in which the accused had allegedly stabbed a person before taking Rs 26,000, ATM card and mobile phone, etc. From the victim.

"We got information that Aftab would come towards Zakhira Flyover yesterday and then laid a trap to arrest him.

"We have recovered Rs 5,750 and a knife from his possession," said a senior police officer who added that the accused was being interrogated for information concerning likely accomplices.
