Youth arrested with cannabis in Jammu

A youth has been arrested allegedly with 500 grams of cannabis in the city here today, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, police party intercepted a youth at Kunjwani belt of the city and recovered 500 grams of cannabis from his possession which he had concealed in a black polythene bag, a police officer said.

A case has been registered and investigations are going on and more recoveries are likely, he said.

Meanwhile, a notorious criminal Ajay Singh alias Bantu was arrested from Samba district, the officer said. The accused was involved a series of criminal cases including attempt to suicide, trespass, assault etc.
