Youth commit suicide

A youth today allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, a police officer said.

Rakesh Singh was critically injured when he shot himself with his rifle in remote Peeyur village of Samba district early today, the police officer said.

He was immediately rushed to Samba district hospital, from where he was referred to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital in Jammu, he said, adding the victim died on his way to the hospital.
