A youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the pole of a high-tension power line in east Delhi's Ghazipur area, police said today.
The body of the youth, aged around 25 years, was found hanging from the pole of the power line, near Kondli flyover. The identity of the deceased is being ascertained, said a police officer.
The incident came to light when locals in the area saw the body of the youth hanging from the pole. A passerby made a PCR call after which cops from the local police station reached there and took the body in their possession and sent it for post-mortem at LBS hospital.
Prima facie, the incident appeared to be a case of suicide but the exact cause of death would be known after receiving the post-mortem report, the officer added.
