Youth drowns in canal

A 20-year-old youth drowned in a canal here while taking bath, police said today.

The victim Rahul, a B-Tech student, along with his two friends - Rohit and Sailesh was taking bath in JLN canal yesterday when they slipped into water, they said.

Rohit and Sailesh swam out but Rahul drowned as he did not know swimming, they said.

Later, his body was fished out by locals and further investigations are on, they said.
