Youth electrocuted in theft bid

A 26-year-old man was electrocuted as he tried to flee after a failed theft bid at a roadways workshop here, police said today.

Viraj along with 24-year-old Mukeem had entered the workshop last night for theft but when a guard raised an alarm they tried to flee, they said.

While Viraj came in contact with a live wire and was electrocuted, his accomplice was arrested by the police.

The police have registered an FIR in this connection and the body has been sent for postmortem.
