Youth fails to clear police service exam, commits suicide

A 24-year-old youth, who was apparently dejected over his failure to clear the preliminary exam conducted for the post of police constable, allegedly committed suicide in Kukatpally area here, police said today.

"A Satyanarayan, who had recently appeared for the exam, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room last night and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, but died on the way," Kukatpally police station Sub-Inspector S Venkanna said.

According to police, a purported suicide note was recovered from his room which stated, "I could not achieve much in life. No one is responsible for my death."
 

A case has been registered and further investigation was on.
