Youth hacks father to death in Mathura

A youth allegedly axed his father to death over a property dispute here, police said today.

The incident took place on Sunday when the accused Mahesh axed his father Babulal (60) to death over selling of a 400 square yards plot in Hatana village here.

The accused, an alcoholic, wanted to sell the plot owned by his father, police said, adding that upon his refusal, Mahesh hacked him to death.

According to a complaint lodged by the deceased's brother Shyamlal, the accused had previously poisoned his mother and pushed his brothers into a well.

The accused is absconding, police said, adding further investigation is on.
