Youth held with heroin in Samba

A youth was arrested today with 10 grams of heroin in his possession in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

As a part of continuous drive against the drug menace, a police party conducting checking of vehicles at Mansar Morh in Samba stopped Farooq Ahmed, riding on a motorcycle, a police officer said.

During checking, a pouch with 10 grams of heroin was recovered from, he said adding the accused was arrested and the two-wheeler and the contraband were seized.

A case has been registered against Ahmed and investigation is on, the official said.
