Youth kills father over family dispute in WB's Malda district

A 42-year-old man was killed by his son following an altercation over a family dispute in Malda district, police said today.

The incident occurred at a village here under the jurisdiction of Englishbazar police station yesterday night, the police said, adding that the deceased's son was arrested.

The youth hit his father with a bamboo stick on his head following the altercation, a senior police officer said.

The injured man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead, the officer said, adding that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
