Youth nabbed for helping 2 escape from Haryana police custody

A youth was arrested here for allegedly helping two of his gang members escape from Haryana police custody, police said today.

Sumit, allegedly a member of the Sandeep Chitania gang, was apprehended from Dhansa-Najafgarh road yesterday, police said.

An improvised semi-automatic pistol with five live bullets were also recovered from his possession, they said.

He had helped Sandeep and another criminal, Neetu Dabodha, to escape from the custody of Haryana Police on April 2 last year, police said.
