Youth nabbed with 25kg silver

Silver ingots weighing about 25 kgs were seized from a youth from Mumbai in the city bus stand today, police said.

Police noticed the youth alighting from a private bus from Puducherry and moving in a suspicious manner with two bags. On searching his bag the silver, worth about Rs 12 lakh was found, police said.

Interrogations revealed that he was from Mumbai and after a business visit to Puducherry came here to sell the silver.
