The body of a youth who worked as a chef in a restaurant and went missing for two days, was found today on the side of railway tracks at Patipukur in the outskirts of the city.
The police said locals informed the police at Dum Dum GRP after spotting Priyajit Kumar's body on the side of the railway tracks.
Kumar went missing two days ago after going to attend a wedding ceremony. He used to stay in a rented house at Durganagar and worked as a chef in a restaurant in the satellite township of Salt Lake near the metropolis.
The body bore marks of injury behind the head and Kumar's parents lodged a complaint of murder to the police.
