Youth shot at, injured

A youth was injured after he was allegedly shot at by a group of miscreants over some local political issue in Khairajpur village, police said today.

Akram was shot on last Saturday by a group of persons following which locals nabbed one Salman and bashed him up, Station officer Avdhesh Pratap Singh said.

The victim's father, Yusuf has lodged a complaint against Nanhe, Aslam, Ashraf and Salman, he said.

Salman, who was detained after the incident was hospitalised and hails from Mussoorie, he said, adding that a probe is on in the incident.
