Youth slits his throat

village in Aizawl district allegedly committed suicide by slitting his throat with a machete, the police said today.

Known to be an alcoholic, Lalawmpuia used to have mental problem resulting in suicidal tendencies, the police said.

He slit his throat when his mother was doing household chores.
