Youth stoned to death in Rajasthan

An 18-year-old man was allegedly stoned to death over an old rivalry in RK Puram area of the city, police said today.

Prakesh Bheel, a resident of Rathkankra area was attacked by his friend with a heavy stone yesterday after a scuffle broke out between the duo who were in an inebriated condition, Alok Gautam, SHO, RK Puram police station said.

The 21-year-old accused Ratan was arrested yesterday and a case has been registered against him under section 302 of IPC, he said.

A past rivalry between the duo may be the reason behind the crime, police said, adding further probe is on in the matter.
