Zinc and copper prices moved up by Rs 2 kg at the local non-ferrous market today on increased buying by stockists, tracking a firming global trend.
Traders said sentiment turned better after zinc rebound from five- month low at the London Metal Exchange as weakening dollar made commodities priced in greenbacks more attractive to investors.
Meanwhile, zinc for delivery in three months gained 0.4 per cent to USD 2,187.75 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, zinc ingot and copper mixed scrap were higher by Rs 2 each to Rs 112-118 and Rs 417 per kg respectively.
