Zinc down 0.2% on weak demand
Metal for delivery in September fell marginally by 0.21%

Zinc futures prices today edged lower by 0.22% to Rs 138.80 per kg largely in line with a weak trend at the spot markets due to sluggish demand and a subdued trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in August fell by 30 paise, or 0.22%, to Rs 138.80 per kg, with a business turnover of 543 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in September fell marginally by 30 paise, or 0.21%, to trade at Rs 139.65 per kg, with a business turnover of nine lots.
Marketmen said sluggish domestic demand and the metal's weakness at the London Metal Exchange, put pressure on zinc futures here.
