Zinc down 0.3% on global cues

Zinc prices eased 0.33% to Rs 150.55 per kg in futures trade today as traders trimmed positions, tracking a weak global trend.
Besides, sluggish demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market fuelled the downtrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in August month traded lower by 50 paise, or 0.33% to Rs 150.55 per kg in business turnover of 75 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in July contracts shed 45 paise, or 0.30% to Rs 150 per kg in 986 lots.
Analysts said the weakness in zinc at futures trade was mostly attributed to a weak global trend where it slid from a 14-month high.
