India cuts sales tax on 49 more items: state finance minister

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India has cut sales tax on 49 goods, a state finance minister told two television channels on Thursday, the second major change in the tax rate in months.

A meeting of the Goods and Services Tax Council comprising federal and state finance ministers is taking place to decide changes to a landmark tax reform.
