India markets closed on Monday for Independence Day

MUMBAI (Reuters) - Indian markets are closed on Monday for Independence Day holiday. Trading will resume on Tuesday.
The broader NSE index Nifty rose 0.93 percent on Friday, while the yield for the benchmark 10-year bond rose 2 basis points to 7.10 from its previous close. The rupee weakened to 66.8850/66.8950 from its previous close of 66.84/85.
