India's core consumer inflation seen at around 4.2 percent in May

MUMBAI (Reuters) - India's core consumer price inflation, which excludes food and energy prices, eased to around 4.2 percent in May from around 4.4-4.5 percent in April, according to estimates from three analysts.
Data earlier showed India's annual consumer price inflation eased to a lower-than-expected 2.18 percent in May from 2.99 percent in April, driven down by cooling food prices.
