Sensex ends down 82 points; rate-sensitives fall

MUMBAI (Reuters) - The BSE Sensex fell for a second consecutive session on Tuesday, as interest rate-sensitive stocks retreated after better-than-expected factory data and accelerating consumer inflation raised doubts about whether the RBI would ease monetary policy this month.

The Sensex ended down 81.29 points, while the Nifty ended down 0.48 percent.
