Sensex ends higher ahead of GDP data

(Reuters) - Indian shares ended higher on Thursday, pulling back from losses earlier in the session, as investors awaited GDP data for the April-June quarter due later in the evening.
The benchmark BSE Sensex ended 0.27 percent higher at 31,730.49. The broader NSE Nifty rose 0.34 percent to 9917.90.
The Sensex lost 2.41 percent for the month while the Nifty fell 1.58 percent.
