Singapore October headline CPI falls 0.1 percent year-on-year, down for 24th month

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Singapore's headline consumer price index fell in October from a year earlier, dragged down by lower costs of accommodation, data showed on Wednesday.
The all-items consumer price index (CPI) in October slipped 0.1 percent from a year earlier, after falling 0.2 percent in September.
The median forecast in a Reuters poll was for headline CPI to be flat from a year earlier.
Singapore's core CPI rose 1.1 percent in October from a year earlier. The median forecast was a rise of 1.2 percent.
