Wall St. ends up after jobs report; but down for week

Reuters NEW YORK

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks rose on Friday after a solid jobs report pointed to strength in the domestic economy and supported expectations the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates next week.

Based on the latest available data, the Dow Jones Industrial Average <.DJI> was up 45.82 points, or 0.22 percent, to 20,904.01, the S&P 500 <.SPX> had gained 7.85 points, or 0.33 percent, to 2,372.72 and the Nasdaq Composite <.IXIC> had added 22.92 points, or 0.39 percent, to 5,861.73.
