The top five deals this year accounted for 18.06% of the total investment in terms of deal value. In the largest this year, Centerbridge Partners invested $1,157.5 million in Senvion SE for 100% stake from Suzlon Energy, while Tiger Global Management LLC, Steadview Capital Master Fund. invested $700 million in Noida based One 97 Communications Ltd. for a 4.6% stake.
This is followed by GE Energy Financial Services investing $570 million in Welspun Renewables Energy Pvt. Ltd., India Value Fund Advisors Pvt. Ltd. and TA Associates Advisory Pvt. Ltd. investing $500 million in Atria Convergence Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Carlyle International Energy Partners LP investing $500 million in London based Magna Energy Ltd.
