Derailed: Train mishaps

As many as 39 passengers were injured as five bogies of a Mangaluru-bound train derailed near Virudhachalam in Cuddalore district, about 230 km from Chennai, around 2 am on Friday. Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu tweeted: "Inquiry ordered in derailment... pending that, ordered action on concerned staff responsible for this.
