Ajit Balakrishnan is a successful entrepreneur, business leader, and administrator. An alumnus of IIM Calcutta, he started his entrepreneurial venture with Rediffusion, an advertising firm now known as Rediffusion DY&R, which he co-founded with Diwan Arun Nanda and Mohammed Khan when he was only 22. He later co-founded PSI Data Systems in the mid-80s with two other partners from Stanford. He also founded and led Rediff.com India Limited (Nasdaq: REDF) which won the CIO Choice Award for the best Enterprise Email Solution for the three consecutive years. He has served as the chairman of the ministry of information technology, Government of India.
