Incorporated in 1979, Good Value Marketing Company (GVMC) manufactures and markets hi-tech organic manures. Good Value came out with a Rs 0.99-cr rights-cum-public issue to finance the expansion-cum-modernisation of its existing facilities to increase the production of organic manures. The company has the largest farm of earth worms in the country. It is also engaged in multiplying bacterial cultures, fungus cultures and has conducted in-depth research on the ancient vedic knowledge of plants. In Jan.'93, three group companies -- Ecomax Agro Systems, Biosense Corporation Projection and Good Value Marketing -- merged to form GVM. GVM came out with a rights issue in Dec.'94 to part-finance expansion and modernisation programmes and operations and to strengthen the marketing facilities of the company. GVM is setting up a state-of-the-art animal farm to produce milk in a modern scientific way. The animals will be housed in a loose barn. The milk will be converted into high-value products like paneer, ghee and ice-cream. The project will be completed in 1996. During the year 1995-96 the company successfully introduced a range of biofertilizers under the brand name Rhizofert, Azofert, Phosfert etc for supplies to Departments of Agriculture in different states. The company also launched a new type of knapsack sprayer with an innovative pressure nozzle.
